The service is absolutely great

Je recommande cette base pour Lee Enfield No 4. Elle est solide, facile à installer et fait parfaitement sans perçage. Le résultat de stabilité pour le tir est incroyable. Je suis très content de mon achat.
Sebastien a.
Great fit would recommrnd to anyone that has an enfield
Hugh O.
I'm not a gun smith, just a average guy. The instructions were straight forward and very clear. I would definitely recommend.
Jody S.
Thanks a lot for the great service
Howard R.
The mount fitted perfectly first time. I think it’s worth mentioning that if you leave off your rear sight, to aid bolt removal, in the kit is a mk2 replacement. Well done guys. Howard

very easy to use, works like a charm

Excellent piece of kit. Well made an fits perfectly everything is in the kit even the thread lock compound. Super fast delivery to UK to.
Mauno T.
Easy to install but the screw for extraction needs further modification by myself in order to operate properly.
Randy M.
Extremely easy to install and love how it uses existing holes so there’s no damage to the rifle. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is I have yet to mount the scope and test it out.
Kevin c.
The fit and precision seemed perfect during installation. Was able to bore site the rifle without shimming ,thankfully.
2 suggestions ,not a huge deal but,if for any reason you update the design, I suggest raising height of unit just enough to not have to change the rear sight and still allow removal of bolt without dismount. Also recommend steel picitinni rail over aluminum.
I was previously using a competitors design that would not hold zero because the mount itself was constructed of aluminum ,however it did have enough height to allow original sight and bolt removal.
Your design was the best I could find on the market at this time. Have not yet had time to test fire the set up yet, but I don't foresee any issues.

Love it!
Easy to change between scopes feels rock solid!.
Big bonus that i also can use battle appature while the scope is mounted aswell.
Carl R.
Love it. Unobtrusive and gives a quick choice between scope or no scope and i retain my full sight when a scope is not in use.
I looked at a lot of mount options and with the steel base i felt this was the best option for a rail base that stayed in position. Which it does.
The price is good and the mount arrived quicker than most deliveries from my own country!
Mick D.
went on just as the instructions said although bit tricky with the clamp part keeping it away from the bolt and looks great cant wait to give it a go

The installation instructions are straightforward and the mount is well made but if you own a Longbranch No4 Mk1 with the type of safety shown in the photograph you will have a problem but there are solutions.
The simplest is to loosen the bolt holding the safety bolt spring in place and that will allow you enough play to set the safety. It's not ideal but it works and I put 50 rounds through my Enfield and it did not loosen any further but if you do this check it after every trip to the range. A more permanent solution would be to replace the Late Longbranch style safety with the rounded safety that is more commonly used . In Canada Marstar sells them for $15 CDN ( https://marstar.ca/product/safety-bolt-2/ ) as does SFRC ( https://theammosource.com/oem-replacement-parts/surplus-rifles/lee-enfield/lee-enfield-no-4-mk-1/ ).
In the USA Apex sells one with Bolt Lock for $16 USD but they do not ship out of the USA (https://www.apexgunparts.com/enfield-4-safety-lever-with-bolt-lock-new.html ).
Alternately, you could grind down the existing hammer safety but that would NOT be my first choice and grinding down the mount will come very close to the rear attachment hole. You could do a little of both but again, that would not be my first choice as replacements that will work are available at a reasonable cost and really, simply loosening the screw holding the safety bolt spring a little bit works.

Simple installation, top of the line product, and I highly recommend this company.

I received the No4 scope mount in a very timely manner. I did the installation just now and it went very smoothly just as the directions indicated. I did install the ejector slightly differently though. The kit comes with three ejector bolts and the instructions indicate to start with the shortest but that bolt was far too short so I installed the second shortest bolt and it was too long and hit the bolt effectively stopping it's travel. The instructions say to file down the bolt until you get a good fit and are able to eject a live or dummy round (note that the ejector screw is not for ejecting a spent case, it's for ejecting live rounds). I didn't want to file on the bolt so I opted to use a small washer just like a crush washer and slowly turned the bolt in until I was able to eject a live round and it is very snug. All in all I am very happy with the kit and although I have not yet shot it or installed a scope yet I think this kit is very solid and should do very well. I am a happy customer.

Very satisfied. Killed the first deer i shot at. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Found this pricey option for a scope on my 1955-ish Type 4 Mk2; straight-forward mounting instructions (I chose to keep the battle sights intact which created an issue I mention later); originally installed a used low-end 3-9X scope I had laying around, later changing it to the new economical but far more powerful scope in the picture (4-24X50, overkill I know but, at my age with deteriorating eyesight, I prefer having more optical power than less - I'm funny like that); sighted in at 200 yds on a 12" round, 3/8 " thick metal gong (the "clang" sound is very satisfying!). The mount kit is holding up very well although removing the bolt for a thorough cleaning requires the scope to be completely removed (the ocular end hangs over & restricts flipping the ladder rear ladder sight to full vertical - necessary to remove the bolt). Solution? Remove the rear ladder sight completely (and sacrifice the battle sight option) or reposition the scope forward in order to clear the ladder sight's full vertical movement to allow complete bolt removal (in my case, about 4 inches forward, but then I would need a scope with much longer eye relief). This issue might be included in any future revisions of the installation instructions, including eye relief suggestions. Still, I would recommend this mounting kit - price & all.
Salatiel G.
I have yet to zero with it, but finding a scope has been difficult
Meanwhile it looks great here
Robert W.
The hardest part was getting that little drift pin out of the rear sight pin!
Peter P.
I just recently installed the scope mount on my Enfield rifle. The mount was easy to install and appears to be very solid. I’m taking the rifle to the range this weekend to test it out. I will report my results. Pete.

Bought a bolt on scope mount for British 303 jungle carbine. Delivered to my door in New Zealand within 10 days. Fitting was easy as, can not fault anything so far. I like the ability to remove the mount within minutes and return the rifle back to original state.
Chris P.
Have not put it on yet am waiting for scope mounts to arrive.
But the unit is very well made and I cannot fault it.
Will be easy to fit without harming my Long Branch Mk4 No1* at all.
Just a great product.
Next one is for my Mk1 No111* 303 British.
Many thanks
Chris Parris

Nicely made item!can't tell more because i'am still looking for a good scope to mount...
David V.
Extremely pleased with this mount.
Fits perfectly and is solid.
Appearance is good too

Not a huge fan. Paid over 100$ for a mount that doesn’t even fit properly on my rifle. In order to get the mount to center over the top of the gun some serious grinding to the mount must be done. Not very pleased at all.
Jeana B.
Excellent design and craftsmanship. Worked perfectly without having to make any modifications to the firearm.
Matthew M.
Very well made mount. I'm broke and was not eager to spend the money on the mount but it was well worth it. I'm very happy with the quality
Joseph S.
Well made. So far looks very sturdy. Need range time to verify. Definitely need cheek riser.

Fits as advertised bad ace tactical makes the best scope mounts for surplus rifles

I was a bit skeptical about purchasing but I said "hey you got a real accurate rifle, and its an awesome hunting rifle. lets pull the trigger". MAN! it fit like a glove on my 42 English No4 mk2 and it is everything described. thank you all for this. I did not have to destroy this awesome piece of history and I truly get to use the irons for the intended range of about 50 yds max. thank you all for what you do!!!
Matthew P.
Holding up very well after first time at the range with the scope mounted. Very satisfied!
Kevin V.
Works like it should and very well made
Ronan l.
Great, strong, all steel construction.
Perfect installation without any adjustment.
look just as perfect on my jungle carbine !
A must have !
Ian J.
Looks great with my vintage 1960's Weaver K8 Scope. Installation was fairly easy. Haven't tried it on the range yet, but looking forward to it when weather improves.
Ryan M.
Excellent tooling. Was designed with respect to maintaining the integrity of the rifle. Very good instructions and very easy install.
Justen W.
The old man has wanted a scope mount for his 303 for decades. After spotting this one online, I knew I had to get it for him.
Was a perfect fit and easy to install.
David A.
The scope mount for my Lee Enfield no4 mk1* made in Long Branch Canada 1942 worked perfectly. I loaded some ammunition for it and was able to get a 3 shot group at a 100 yards of under a 1 inch moa. Very pleased with this 78 year old military rifle I plan on killing a deer with it next hunting season.
neil m.
simple perfect fit well made excellent
Edward N.
Great craftsmanship. Fast shipping.
Andrew T.
The scope mount arrived quickly, very good quality and fitted in next to no time!
Very happy - thank you
Alan C.
Fit was great looking forward to using it now.
Oscar F.
The mount went on my rifle without a hitch! It looks superb and after getting a good cheek riser was extremely pleasant to shoot. The only issue I encountered was when one of the screws that held the rail on became a little loose during the sighting in process. Pretty sure I just missed that one with the lock tite. All in all it was well worth my money! Now I get to look forward to hunting with this beauty next season!
Jason G.
Works really well easy to install it's really a good solid mount
Patrick T.
It appears to be well made for the most part. The bluing looks of good quality. As a former machinist and mechanical engineer, I think that the clamp could be a little more accurate or have some brass spacers provided with it to avoid putting so much bending stress on the screw. Also the back side of the mount where the rear sight screw goes needs a bit more relief so that the safety has more clearance, the tip of my safety lever hits the corner of the mount.
Grant D.
Great service, great instructions, and a well manufactured piece of kit. Thanks Bad Ace awesome job. Cheers from New Zealand.
Allen A.
Very easy installation, rock solid mount!
David A.
Installs easily need to get it to the range now
Robert
Excellent construction and sturdy fit
Ordered this last week on Friday and got it sunday. Completely unexpected. Order direct from the site to save 10 bucks over the Amazon page
The mount is seriously constructed. No holes here. Solid machined metal, a great black finish that matches the enfield. Whoever designed this put some real thought into how rigid it needs to be, how it mounts, and how it looks on the rifle.
I haven't mounted a scope yet; I will be buying a cheap scope and some rings to get started and I will update my review after I get it zeros. But for now, I'm very happy and very hopefully that this mount will be an excellent addition to my rifle, and possibly others, for years to come.
Thanks BadAce for what seems like a great product
