Well I tried leveling the mount with the receiver of my mauser m48 and mounted my brand new scout scope and upon boresighting fir 100 yards however I did not have enough up clicks to line up scope reticle to boresighter reticle so I had to angle the front of the mount downwards to get back the clicks I needed to boresight the scope,afterwards I took to range and rifle is dead on 100 yards,so ya leveling mount with receiver will not work for 100yrd zero

I purchased this item in November 2022 for my Columbian Mauser, was looking forward
to putting this on my Rifle. Unfortunately due to me making a mistake the Mount was
unable to be attached as intended.
Very disappointing as the pictures I had seen in regards to this setup, looked great. I thought that after a long search I had finally found a suitable Mount.

I'm extremely happy with the quality of the base. Using a cantilever scope mount has also allowed me to close in the eye relief distance, make the rifle more comfortable to use and opened me up to a wider variety of suitable scopes.

Fits perfectly in my DWM 1908 Brazilian! A Vortex Scout Scope is mounted on top of it, holds it securely and is mounted just above the actual line of sight. Use the gun like this for hunting, precision is very good - under 2cm at 100m! Definitely recommend the assembly! Greetings from Germany!

It would be a simple matter to supply a picatiny rail to this base system in order to widen it's application. I remachined one to accept the rail and bring the scope back far enough for acceptable eye relief and still clear the original mauser bent bolt.

Excellent mount on my M24/47. Went on easy and no zero wandering off after mounting and shooting it. My eyes are having more trouble with the stock irons, and this has brought the fun back in this rifle.

This scope mount worked very well for me. I mounted a Vortex Scout scope on a Fed Ord American Eagle Mauser 98 chambered for .308 Winchester. I believe the rifle was originally a Spanish M 43. In the original installation of the Bad Ace product I only used thread locker on the "receiver" screw but not on the "tension"screw or its set screws, as the directions stated. First trip to the Range and those tension and set screws loosened up and the pin in the front literally fell out. Went home and contacted Bad Ace. They advised to use thread locker on all the screws. I did that and went back to the range a couple days later and the Bad Ace mount stayed solid. Just make sure you have the Bad Ace rail level in parallel with the barrel and good tension on the front pin before you let the thread locker cure. I used the Blue thread locker supplied with the kit and put some on the pin, as well. Overall, this mount is a great solution for adding a scope mount to Mauser 98 rifles!

I was pleasantly surprised when opening package to see it came with such well written instructions and tools to fit screws were included as was thread locking compound. After initial sighting in all connections stayed tight and held zero. Really shows full potential of this brno

Nice leveling setup. You can fine tune the tilt of the rail. The rail is sturdier than I expected. The base plate that attaches to your rear sight is Steel! So not as likely to strip threads, I was gladvto see this. The actual rail is Aluminum however. They gave me spare screws as well, thanks!

This mount very disappointing. I bought this as a middle of the road option between the super cheap mounts and the brass stacked set up. The mounting system itself is well thought out. Very solid and stable, easy to install and gives me confidence it will hold. I did have to file the rail itself quite a bit to make the rings fit, like nearly a 1/16 of an inch needed to be removed just to make the forward most ring sit in the rail. For the price I still think it’s the best option out there but this experience has left a pretty bad taste in my mouth.

Just a fabulous product at a great price. Super well made. In struction sheet is good but printing of photos was vague. Only problem I encountered was fitment required on my Yugo 24/47, but I blame the communist rebuild program for the fact that the rear sight hole did not line up perfectly, not the mount. This is the only one I will ever buy again for my rifles.

The mount for the Mauser fit perfectly. After removing the pin, I would suggest striking the fold up sight forward toward the barrel instead of backward towards the stock. The reason is the tough steel spring will stop any rearward movement. You will most likely destroy the sight removing it.

The mount went on like clock work and is very secure. I have had several mounts that provide rings with them but this mount allows you to remove your weaver rings and change the scope to another rifle. This is great if you have a mauser collection and old eyes. Great product. LTC Terry Madden, USAF. ret.

It took a bit more time to arrive than expected. However, after arrival and installation by an experienced gunsmith, I couldn't be more pleased with the mount. It is mounts nice and low (just a bit higher than the original M48 Mauser rear sight). It is solid, well made and carefully engineered. My gunsmith, who has done many Mauser scout conversions over the years gave it very high marks. I mounted a Sightmark 2-7x32 /TDR Scout Rifle Scope to it and it all set up perfectly. Couldn't be happier. Thanks for a great quality product.

It fit perfect it was just like advertised but for some reason when I put it on my M 48 I could not adjust the site far enough to the left to borescope. I have another Mauser that it will fit so I’m going to try to put it on there but it was easy to put on just as it advertised all you do is follow the instructions and it’ll fit perfect

Installing the mount is simple. Tuning the mount with the screws requires range time with adjusting the mount and the scope. At the end it was worth it. Good price and less expensive than the mount I had on earlier. Mounted on a Mitchell Arms Yugoslavia’s. M47(8).

Yugoslavian m48 8mm vortex crossfire scout 11. 2-7×32 hawk rings. Mount is secure and easy to install. Manual could be more detailed for beginners. Service was fast and knowledgeable. Fit great! Mauser 24/47 8mm I mounted a Vortex Scout long Eye relief scope. (2x7-32) Warne maxima Low 1 inch rings. You do have get the level just right. You may have to adjust several times.
With old eyes it was getting to hard to see iron sights. With this new set up, the old girl is shooting again. Better and more accurate! I added a decelerator pad for recoil and added stock length. (European stocks are too short for me.) The cheek riser puts my eye in line with the scope!
I used purple lock tight(Low), glad I did because to have to make several adjustments.

The product itself looks and installs very well and shipping was quick.
It may be due to my rifle or my scope mounts, but initial zero was off a foot to the right at 25 yds and I even ran out of leftwards windage adjustment. Just make sure your rifle is in good condition and you get decent scope rings when using this kit.

I have been struggling trying to find a secure mount for my Yugo M48, when I ran across this one from Bad Ace tactical. From the time I opened the package, I had it mounted in about ten minutes. Great instructions, easy to mount. Installed my Leupold FX-II Scout Rifle Scope 2.5x 28mm and went to the range. 1-2 inch groupings at 100 yards. Rifle mount held tight and I am very happy. If you need an M48 mount, look no where else.
